welcome to my brain

Chuck and Krystin kicked off spring with their downtown & great plains engagement session! Their shoot was the perfect blend of modern and romantic. Like, they wore matching white Jordans AND dreamy sunset photos that belong on the cover of a romance novel Who says that you can’t get the best of both worlds?!

We started their session on a garage rooftop in the middle of downtown Wichita. I start most engagement sessions two hours from sunset, so I love starting downtown for a few reasons. First, because the buildings beautifully diffuse the fairly harsh light. And secondly, concrete is a reflective surface, so when the sun hits it it actually bounces that light back up the subject! Which is exactly why Chuck and Krystin are literally GLOWING in their downtown photos!

For golden hour (the hour before sunset) we went to Great Plains Nature Center. It has a field that faces west, so it’s perfectly positioned for backlighting subjects to show those rays of sun. There’s something indisputably romantic about sun rays peeking between a couple about to makeout

My all-time favorite thing about this session was hands down seeing the BURSTING love that Chuck and Krystin have for each other. My words won’t do them justice, but the photos will showcase exactly how over the moon these two are for each other! I couldn’t get enough of them or their joy-FULL love.

I hope you enjoy their downtown & great plains engagement session as much as I did!
